Mike was born in Colorado, lived in California for 15 years, and now resides in Portland Oregon with his wife and daughter. Mike did his clinical training at the University of Southern California, and has long had an interest in meditative practices.

Mike's enjoys adventuring outside, hanging with animals (newest hobby: beekeeping), and is very passionate about spicy food.

Mike is an expert in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, has participated in chronic pain research, and is a clinical trainer for the Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center.
self-compassion
Mike is a teacher of the Mindful Self-Compassion program, developed by Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Chris Germer.
internal family systems
Mike utilized parts work and techniques from Internal Family Systems to help build insight and re establish connection with internal and innate healing.
emdr
Mike is trained to offer EMDR, a research-backed protocol to work with trauma. These techniques centralize the effects bilateral simulation has on the nervous system.
meditation
Mike has lead several Yoga Alliance approved mindfulness teacher trainings, and taught thousands of students in various mindfulness and meditation techniques. Mike has spoken on verious podcasts and panels, including the USC IIHW Conference.

Mike is a licensed facilitator, bringing cutting edge knowledge and compassion to this work.
